The Keokuk Chiefs (Keokuk, IA) basketball crushed the host Mt. Pleasant Panthers (Mt. Pleasant, IA), 74-14 in Tuesday's league test.
The Chiefs (8-1) will now prepare for their test against Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA). The Bloodhounds go into the Southeast test with a 6-3 record. In their last test, Fort Madison was trounced by Notre Dame (Burlington, IA), 55-52, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Holy Trinity Catholic for a non-league test on Thursday, December 21. Mt. Pleasant will encounter a Crusaders squad coming off a 54-24 non-league win over Clark County (Kahoka, MO). The Crusaders record now stands at 8-2.
