Lone Tree Lions (Lone Tree, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host WACO Warriors (Wayland, IA), 49-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lone Tree upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Lions host Wapello (Wapello, IA) to play the Indians in a SEI - North bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Wapello won 49-40 in their recent league bout against Hillcrest Academy (Kalona, IA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons (Letts, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. WACO will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 46-45 league loss to Pekin (Packwood, IA).
