The Trinity Christian Tigers basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals to 40 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hinton for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 2. Trinity Christian will battle a Blackhawks team coming off a 71-23 non-league win over Woodbury Central (Moville, IA). The Blackhawks record now stands at 8-3.
The Royals (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Lawton-Bronson (Lawton, IA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Lawton-Bronson was defeated by St. Mary's (Remsen, IA), 68-25, in a non-league contest.
