Morrilton Devil Dogs (Morrilton, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mena Bearcats (Mena, AR), 42-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Morrilton upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Devil Dogs host McGehee (McGehee, AR) to play the Owls in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Owls go into the bout with a record of 10-4. McGehee lost 46-45 in their recent non-league bout against Heber Springs (Heber Springs, AR)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Dardanelle Sand Lizards (Dardanelle, AR) in a 4A Region 4 bout, on Thursday, January 4. Mena will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Sand Lizards go into the bout with a 11-2 record after their 56-45 non-league win over Mayflower (Mayflower, AR).
