Nodaway Valley Wolverines (Greenfield, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mount Ayr Raiders (Mount Ayr, IA), 84-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Nodaway Valley upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Kuemper (Carroll, IA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Kuemper lost 59-45 in their recent league bout against St. Albert (Council Bluffs, IA)

Next up, the Raiders play the Martensdale-St. Mary's Blue Devils (Martensdale, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Mount Ayr will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 78-42 non-league loss to Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA).
