San Marcos Royals (Santa Barbara, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Ventura Cougars (Ventura, CA), 63-18 in a league bout.

With the win, San Marcos upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season.

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Thousand Oaks Lancers (Thousand Oaks, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 22. Ventura will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 62-17 non-league loss to Cleveland (Reseda, CA).
