Uwharrie Charter Eagles (Asheboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC), 56-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Uwharrie Charter upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Trinity (Trinity, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Trinity lost 76-27 in their recent non-league bout against Central Davidson (Lexington, NC)

Next up, the Blue Comets play the Eastern Randolph Wildcats (Ramseur, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Asheboro will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record.
