North Carolina High School Basketball - Avery County over Draughn

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC) and the host Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), saw Avery County's basketball squad overcome Draughn by a tally of 55-36.

With the victory, Avery County improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Vikings host Rosman (Rosman, NC) to play the Tigers in a challenge on Thursday, December 21. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 21. Draughn will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 51-35 non-league win over Patton (Morganton, NC).
