Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), 45-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lake Norman Charter upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Knights host Robinson (Concord, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Cougars play the A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Carson will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Wonders go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 42-21 non-league win over Central Academy (Monroe, NC).
