North Carolina High School Basketball - Cleveland defeats Fuquay - Varina

December 19, 2024: Clayton, NC 27520

The Cleveland Rams (Clayton, NC) basketball were winner over the visiting Fuquay - Varina Bengals (Fuquay-Varina, NC), 81-61 in Thursday's league bout.

The Rams now possess a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Middle Creek for a non-league bout on Friday, December 20. Cleveland will play a Mustangs team coming off a 58-50 league loss to Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Fuquay - Varina falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Bengals host Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Greater Neuse River bout on Friday, January 3. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Southeast Raleigh won 85-21 in their recent non-league bout against North Johnston (Kenly, NC)
