North Carolina High School Basketball - Southern Wake Academy crushes Clover Garden School

December 19, 2024: Burlington, NC 27217

The Southern Wake Academy Lions (Holly Springs, NC) basketball crushed the host Clover Garden School Grizzlies (Burlington, NC), 82-44 in Thursday's league bout.

The Lions now possess a 10-1 record. They play next when they travel to Cardinal Gibbons for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 21. Southern Wake Academy will play a Crusaders team coming off a 78-69 non-league win over White Oak (Jacksonville, NC). The Crusaders record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Clover Garden School falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to River Mill (Graham, NC) to play the Jaguars in a 1A Central Tar Heel bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 0-12.
