The Mellen Granite Diggers basketball team scored 74 points and limited the host Drummond Lumberjacks to 58 in the Granite Diggers league triumph on Thursday.

The Granite Diggers now have a 5-0 record. They play next when they host Birchwood for a non-league game on Friday, December 27. Mellen will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 57-41 league win over Lake Holcombe (Holcombe, WI). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Drummond falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Mercer (Mercer, WI) to confront the Tigers in a Northern Lights game on Friday, December 20. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 1-4. Mercer lost 84-34 in their recent non-league game against Tomahawk (Tomahawk, WI)
