The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (Fairmont, WV) and the host Grafton Bearcats (Grafton, WV), observed Fairmont Senior's basketball team overwhelm Grafton by a score of 77-40.

The Polar Bears (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV). The Eagles come into the Big Ten challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Robert C. Byrd was routed by Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV), 67-47, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bearcats battle the East Fairmont Bees (Fairmont, WV) in a Big Ten challenge, on Saturday, December 21. Grafton will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Bees go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 58-55 non-league loss to Summit Christian Academy (Princeton, WV).
