The Bernards Mountaineers basketball team scored 42 points and limited the host Bound Brook Crusaders to 38 in the Mountaineers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mountaineers now have a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Morristown-Beard for a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. Bernards will confront a Crimson team coming off a 38-23 league loss to Hanover Park (East Hanover, NJ). The Crimson record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Bound Brook falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Hopewell Valley Central (Pennington, NJ) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Monday, December 23. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 1-3. Hopewell Valley Central lost 48-21 in their recent non-league game against Immaculata (Somerville, NJ)
