The Gloucester City Lions basketball team scored 31 points and limited the host Gateway Regional Gators to 26 in the Lions league triumph on Thursday.

The Lions now have a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Camden County Vo-Tech for a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. Gloucester City will confront a Warriors team coming off a 46-40 league loss to Camden Academy Charter (Camden, NJ). The Warriors record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Gateway Regional falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Gators host Overbrook (Pine Hill, NJ) to confront the Rams in a non-league game on Monday, December 23. The Rams go into the game with a record of 0-1. Overbrook lost 51-29 in their recent league game against Schalick (Pittsgrove, NJ)
