In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Jefferson Blue Jays basketball team scored a close 41-40 triumph over the Northwest Lions.
The Blue Jays (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Kingston (Cadet, MO). The Cougars go into the non-league contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, Kingston was tipped by Ste. Genevieve (Ste. Genevieve, MO), 75-12, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Lions confront the Seckman Jaguars (Imperial, MO) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Northwest will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record.
