The Lake Pointe Academy Mariners (York, SC) basketball crushed the host UR Academy Lions (Gastonia, NC), 58-24 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Mariners now possess a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Richard Winn Academy for a non-league bout on Friday, December 20. Lake Pointe Academy will play a Eagles team coming off a 36-31 non-league win over Our Lady of the Rosary (Greenville, SC). The Eagles record now stands at 2-3.
With the loss, UR Academy falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Lions host Providence Classical (Rock Hill, SC) to play the Paladins in a Metro Area bout on Monday, January 6. The Paladins go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Providence Classical won 47-21 in their recent league bout against UR Academy (Gastonia, NC)
