The Serena Huskers basketball team scored 37 points and limited the visiting Marquette Crusaders to 34 in the Huskers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Huskers now have a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Putnam County for a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. Serena will confront a Panthers team coming off a 44-37 non-league loss to Stark County (Toulon, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 3-9.

With the loss, Marquette falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL) to confront the Comets in a non-league game on Thursday, December 26. The Comets go into the game with a record of 11-4. Newman Central Catholic lost 58-33 in their recent non-league game against River Ridge/Scales Mound (Hanover, IL)
