In Thursday's league contest, the host Union City Soaring Eagles basketball team scored a big 61-15 triumph over the St. Dominic Academy Blue Devils.
The Soaring Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Holmdel (Holmdel, NJ). The Hornets go into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Holmdel smashed Wall Township (Wall, NJ), 31-22, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Blue Devils confront the Bayonne Bees (Bayonne, NJ) in a Hudson County - American contest, on Saturday, December 21. St. Dominic Academy will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Bees go into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 61-26 league win over Kearny (Kearny, NJ).
