The Quemado Eagles basketball team scored 34 points and limited the host Alamo Navajo Cougars to 27 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Eagles now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Ramah for a non-league game on Friday, December 20. Quemado will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 44-26 non-league win over Navajo Pine (Navajo, NM). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Alamo Navajo falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Mescalero Apache (Mescalero, NM) to confront the Chiefs in a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. The Chiefs go into the game with a record of 0-1.
