In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Eastland Cougars basketball team scored a good 30-12 triumph over the Rock Falls Rockets.
The Cougars (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL). The Comets go into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Newman Central Catholic topped Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL), 58-3, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Rockets battle the Amboy Clippers (Amboy, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 21. Rock Falls will attempt to better on its 2-11 season record.
