In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Calvert Cavaliers basketball team scored a big 54-15 triumph over the Patuxent Panthers.

The Cavaliers (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against McDonough (Pomfret, MD). The Rams go into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, McDonough smashed Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD), 63-43, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, January 8. Patuxent will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record.
