The Mayfield Trojans basketball team scored 43 points and limited the host Las Cruces Bulldawgs to 42 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Trojans now have a 5-0 record. They play next when they travel to Hobbs for a non-league game on Friday, December 20. Mayfield will confront a Eagles team coming off a 64-63 non-league loss to Centennial (Las Cruces, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Las Cruces falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Bulldawgs travel to Sandia (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Matadors in a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. The Matadors go into the game with a record of 2-2. Sandia lost 75-37 in their recent non-league game against Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM)
