The Liberty Minutemen basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles to 37 in the Minutemen non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Minutemen now have a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Jefferson Forest for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7.

With the loss, Staunton River falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Golden eagles travel to Abingdon (Abingdon, VA) to confront the Falcons in a non-league game on Monday, December 30. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 2-3.
