In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Cibola Cougars basketball team scored a good 66-57 triumph over the Centennial Hawks.
The Cougars (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM). The Bulldawgs go into the non-league contest with a 9-0 record. In their last contest, Las Cruces topped Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM), 57-56, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Hawks battle the Montwood Rams (El Paso, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 30. Centennial will attempt to advance on its 5-4 season record. The Rams enter the match with a 16-5 record after their 54-39 non-league win over Americas (El Paso, TX).
