California High School Basketball - Merced nips Ceres

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Merced Bears (Merced, CA) and the host Ceres Bulldogs (Ceres, CA), observed Merced's basketball squad hold off Ceres by a count of 48-46.

With the victory, Merced advances its record to 11-3 on the year. The Bears travel to Livingston (Livingston, CA) to meet the Wolves in a non-league battle on Saturday, December 20. The Wolves enter the battle with a record of 1-6. Livingston won 53-50 in their recent non-league battle against Stone Ridge Christian (Merced, CA)

The Bulldogs now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Hughson for a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 20. Ceres will battle a Huskies team coming off a 46-41 non-league win over Stagg (Stockton, CA). The Huskies record now stands at 3-5.
