Virginia High School Basketball - Nelson County trounced by Amherst County

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Amherst County Lancers basketball team scored a decisive 72-43 triumph over the Nelson County Governors.

In their next game, the Lancers face the Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) in a non-league match, on Monday, December 5. Amherst County will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 0-2 record after their 61-49 non-league loss to Culpeper County (Culpeper, VA).

With the defeat, Nelson County moves to 0-3 on the year. The Governors travel to Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA) to face the Bison in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 6. The Bison enter the match with a record of 1-0.
