The St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL) basketball nipped the host Chicago Christian Knights (Palos Heights, IL), 55-52 in Friday's league test.
The Spartans (1-2) will now prepare for their test against St. Edward (Elgin, IL). The Green Wave go into the Metro Suburban test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, St. Edward got by Crossroads Christian (Big Rock, IL), 57-45, in a non-league test.
The Knights now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Bishop McNamara for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 7. Chicago Christian will encounter a Fightin' Irish squad coming off a 59-55 non-league win over St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL). The Fightin' Irish record now stands at 4-0.
