Cove Leopards (Cove, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Prairie City Panthers (Prairie City, OR), 57-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cove upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Leopards travel to Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR) to clash with the Spartans in a 1A Old Oregon bout on Saturday, December 3. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Pine Eagle won 54-48 in their recent league bout against Pilot Rock (Pilot Rock, OR)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Pilot Rock Rockets (Pilot Rock, OR) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Prairie City will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 54-48 league loss to Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR).
