The McMichael Phoenix basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Rockingham County Cougars to 46 in the Phoenix non-league triumph on Friday.

The Phoenix now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Magna Vista for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 3. McMichael will meet a Warriors team coming off a 69-58 non-league loss to Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 0-1.

The Cougars (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Morehead (Eden, NC). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Morehead ran past College Prep & Leadership Academy (Jamestown, NC), 91-63, in a non-league contest.
