The Melrose Buffaloes basketball team scored 79 points and restricted the visiting Tatum Coyotes to 41 in the Buffaloes non-league victory on Friday.
The Buffaloes now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clayton for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 3. Melrose will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 65-48 non-league win over Grady (Grady, NM). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 4-0.
The Coyotes (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Grady (Grady, NM). The Bronchos come into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Grady was routed by Clayton (Clayton, NM), 65-48, in a non-league contest.
