Plainfield East Bengals (Plainfield, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Plainfield Central Wildcats (Plainfield, IL), 78-64 in a league bout.

With the win, Plainfield East upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Bengals travel to Joliet West (Joliet, IL) to play the Tigers in a SouthWest Prairie bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Joliet West lost 72-66 in their recent non-league bout against Kenwood (Chicago, IL)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL) in a SouthWest Prairie bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Plainfield Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 66-61 league win over Joliet Central (Joliet, IL).
