Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM), 58-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Piedra Vista upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Panthers host Shiprock (Shiprock, NM) to play the Chieftains in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Chieftains go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Shiprock lost 40-12 in their recent non-league bout against Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM)

Next up, the Eagles play the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers (Cortez, CO) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Navajo Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
