Roeper Roughriders (Birmingham, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Academy of the Sacred Heart Gazelles (Bloomfield Hills, MI), 33-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Roeper upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Roughriders travel to Southfield Christian (Southfield, MI) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Southfield Christian lost 41-37 in their recent non-league bout against Whitmore Lake (Whitmore Lake, MI)

Next up, the Gazelles play the Madison Eagles (Madison Heights, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 5. Academy of the Sacred Heart will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
