The Gehlen Catholic Jays basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the host Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals to 42 in the Jays non-league victory on Friday.

The Jays now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Akron-Westfield for a War Eagle contest on Tuesday, December 6. Gehlen Catholic will battle a Westerners team coming off a 60-27 league loss to St. Mary's (Remsen, IA). The Westerners record now stands at 0-2.

The Royals (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary's (Remsen, IA). The Hawks come into the non-league contest with a 3-0 record.
