Hayward Hurricanes (Hayward, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Spooner Rails (Spooner, WI), 66-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Hayward upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Hurricanes travel to Medford (Medford, WI) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Medford lost 78-29 in their recent league bout against Lakeland (Minocqua, WI)

Next up, the Rails clash with the Ladysmith Lumberjacks (Ladysmith, WI) in a Heart O'North bout, on Thursday, December 8. Spooner will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Lumberjacks go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 40-29 league loss to Northwestern (Maple, WI).
