Illinois High School Basketball - Islamic Foundation edges Universal

December 2, 2022: Bridgeview, IL 60455

The Islamic Foundation Chargers (Villa Park, IL) basketball nipped the host Universal Stars (Bridgeview, IL), 28-26 in Friday's league test.

The Chargers (2-3) will now prepare for their test against St. Francis de Sales (Chicago, IL). The Pioneers go into the non-league test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, St. Francis de Sales was tipped by Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL), 43-14, in a non-league test.

The Stars now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Holy Trinity for a non-league test on Monday, December 5. Universal will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 49-40 non-league loss to Chicago University (Chicago, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 2-3.
