North Carolina High School Basketball - Pender overwhelmed by Laney

The Laney Buccaneers basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting Pender Patriots to 26 in the Buccaneers non-league victory on Friday.

The Buccaneers now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jack Britt for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6. Laney will battle a Buccaneers team coming off a 40-15 non-league loss to Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 5-1.

The Patriots (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Richlands (Richlands, NC). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Richlands was routed by Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC), 61-23, in a non-league contest.
