Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host New Braunfels Unicorns (New Braunfels, TX), 48-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Smithson Valley upgrades its record to 8-7 on the season. The Rangers host Round Rock (Round Rock, TX) to clash with the Dragons in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Round Rock lost 57-55 in their recent non-league bout against New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX)

Next up, the Unicorns clash with the Antonian Prep Apaches (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 2. New Braunfels will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Apaches go into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 57-38 non-league loss to Round Rock (Round Rock, TX).
