North Carolina High School Basketball - Purnell Swett over Scotland

December 2, 2022: Laurinburg, NC 28352

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC) and the host Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC), saw Purnell Swett's basketball squad overcome Scotland by a tally of 67-48.

With the victory, Purnell Swett improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC) to confront the Colts in a 3A/4A Conference 22 challenge on Monday, December 5. The Colts come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Cape Fear won 58-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC)

Next up, the Fighting Scots confront the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 5. Scotland will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Golden Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 51-10 non-league win over Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC).
