In Friday's non-league outing, the Luella Lions (Luella, GA) basketball squad edged the visiting Hampton Hornets (Hampton, GA), by a count of 29-22.
The Lions (1-2) will now prepare for their outing against Union Grove (McDonough, GA). The Wolverines go into the non-league outing with a 3-0 record. In their last outing, Union Grove held off Chapel Hill (Douglasville, GA), 56-20, in a non-league outing.
The Hornets now hold a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Spalding for a non-league match on Saturday, December 3.
