El Dorado Cougars (Placerville, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Argonaut Mustangs (Jackson, CA), 51-45 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, El Dorado upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Union Mine (El Dorado, CA) to play the Diamondbacks in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Diamondbacks come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Union Mine lost 71-51 in their recent non-league bout against Casa Roble (Orangevale, CA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the El Dorado Cougars (Placerville, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Argonaut will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 62-47 non-league win over Union Mine (El Dorado, CA).
