The Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Hampton Crabbers (Hampton, VA), 48-43 in Friday's non-league test.

The Wolverines (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Heritage (Newport News, VA). The Hurricanes go into the non-league test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Heritage was tipped by Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA), 45-44, in a non-league test.

The Crabbers now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Menchville for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 6. Hampton will encounter a Monarchs squad coming off a 52-36 non-league win over Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA). The Monarchs record now stands at 3-0.
