North Carolina High School Basketball - Newton-Conover tipped by Hickory

The Hickory Red Tornadoes basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Newton-Conover Red Devils to 38 in the Red Tornadoes non-league triumph on Friday.

The Red Tornadoes now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Enka for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6. Hickory will meet a Jets team coming off a 53-48 non-league win over West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Jets record now stands at 1-0.

The Red Devils (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Patton (Morganton, NC). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Patton was nudged by Draughn (Valdese, NC), 55-46, in a non-league contest.
