The Rockingham County Cougars basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting McMichael Phoenix to 39 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Morehead for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6. Rockingham County will battle a Panthers team coming off a 58-40 non-league win over College Prep & Leadership Academy (Jamestown, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 2-0.
The Phoenix (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Magna Vista triumphed over Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA), 42-31, in a non-league contest.
