Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC) and the visiting South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC), saw Triton's basketball squad hold off South Johnston by a count of 60-59.
With the victory, Triton upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC) to play the Golden Bulls in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 6. The Golden Bulls come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. E.E. Smith won 46-45 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC)
Next up, the Trojans play the Southern Nash Firebirds (Bailey, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 7. South Johnston will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
