Conroe Tigers (Conroe, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Porter Spartans (Porter, TX), 44-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Conroe upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Tigers host Willis (Willis, TX) to play the Wildkats in a 6A Region II District 13 bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Wildkats go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Willis won 65-53 in their recent league bout against New Caney (New Caney, TX)

Next up, the Spartans play the Liberty Panthers (Liberty, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Porter will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 46-45 non-league win over Buna (Buna, TX).
