Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Kuemper Knights (Carroll, IA) and the visiting Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA), saw Kuemper's basketball squad overcome Denison-Schleswig by a tally of 86-68.

With the victory, Kuemper improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Red Oak (Red Oak, IA) to confront the Tigers in a Hawkeye Ten challenge on Friday, December 8. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Red Oak won 73-46 in their recent league challenge against Shenandoah (Shenandoah, IA)

Next up, the Monarchs confront the Glenwood Rams (Glenwood, IA) in a Hawkeye Ten challenge, on Tuesday, December 5. Denison-Schleswig will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 66-62 non-league loss to Jefferson (Council Bluffs, IA).
