Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Fairview Eagles (Ashland, KY), 53-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lewis County upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Russell (Russell, KY) to play the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Russell lost 75-56 in their recent non-league bout against Rowan County (Morehead, KY)

Next up, the Eagles play the Grace Christian (Huntington, WV) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 4. Fairview will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 55-42 league loss to Mercer Christian Academy (Princeton, WV).
