Hickory Flat Rebels (Hickory Flat, MS) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mantachie Mustangs (Mantachie, MS), 73-62 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hickory Flat upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Rebels host Magnolia Heights (Senatobia, MS) to play the Chiefs in a non-league bout on Monday, December 4. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Magnolia Heights won 59-50 in their recent non-league bout against Delta Streets Academy (Greenwood, MS)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Smithville Seminoles (Smithville, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Mantachie will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Seminoles go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 58-49 non-league win over Tremont (Tremont, MS).
